One Link. Unlimited Clients.

Every app you sponsor comes with a unique referral link. Share it once and your clients get free access automatically — no manual setup, no client limits.

How Referral Links Work

The referral system handles everything from the initial click to granting app access. Here’s the step-by-step flow.

1

Client Clicks Your Link

When a client clicks your referral link, the system stores your sponsor identity in both their browser session and a 30-day cookie. This happens silently — the client is redirected to the app’s landing page with no disruption.

2

Client Creates an Account

The client registers for an account on Real Estate Financial Plannerâ„¢. During registration, the system checks for a stored referral. If one exists, the client is automatically linked to your sponsor account.

3

Access Granted Instantly

The client receives free access to the app you sponsor. No payment required on their end. Your business profile appears inside their dashboard, and they show up in your client list immediately.

30-Day Cookie Persistence

Real estate decisions don’t happen in a single session. A client might click your referral link on Monday, browse the landing page, and not create an account until the following week. The 30-day cookie ensures they’re still attributed to you.

The system uses a dual-storage approach: the referral code is stored in both the server-side session and a browser cookie. The session handles the immediate visit. The cookie persists for 30 days, covering the common scenario where a client returns days later to actually sign up.

Cookie lasts 30 days from the initial click
Clicking the link again resets the 30-day window
Session storage provides backup for same-visit sign-ups
Works for both new registrations and existing users

Cookie Timeline

D1
Day 1 — Link Clicked
Cookie set. Session created. Client sees landing page.
D8
Day 8 — Client Returns
Session expired, but cookie still active. Referral intact.
D8
Day 8 — Account Created
Cookie read. Sponsor identified. Access granted automatically.
D30
Day 30 — Cookie Expires
If the client hasn’t signed up, the referral attribution is lost.

Client Onboarding Paths

The referral system handles two scenarios: completely new users who need to register, and existing users who already have an account.

New User

  1. 1 Clicks your referral link
  2. 2 Sees the app landing page
  3. 3 Clicks “Get Started” to register
  4. 4 Creates account (name, email, password)
  5. 5 Verifies email address
  6. 6 Logs in — access granted automatically

Existing User

  1. 1 Clicks your referral link
  2. 2 Sees the app landing page
  3. 3 Logs in with existing credentials
  4. 4 System detects stored referral cookie
  5. 5 Sponsored access granted on login
  6. 6 Your profile card appears in their dashboard

Good to know: If a client already has a paid individual subscription to the app, the referral link has no effect — their existing subscription takes priority. The sponsor link only activates for users who don’t currently have access.

Your Link, Your Code

Each app you sponsor gets its own unique referral link. The link contains an 8-character alphanumeric code that identifies you as the sponsor. The code is generated automatically when you first subscribe and never changes.

The referral link always points to the app’s landing page. When a visitor arrives via your link, the ref parameter is captured and stored. From that point on, any account action (registration or login) within 30 days is attributed to you.
